Estonian Air, the airline based in Estonia, shareholders Annual General Meeting approved its Financial Result for 2008. The year 2008 was an extremely complicated one for commercial aviation both globally as well as for Estonian Air. The general negative trends affected greatly the activities of Estonian Air during the entire financial year said the President and CEO of Estonian Air. Despite Estonian Air Financial Result 2008, the optimisation and reduction of direct flights, Estonian Air has maintained its clear leading position at Tallinn Airport with the market share above 40%, and offered direct flights to 22 destinations. Estonian Air will restore direct flights to Amsterdam and Berlin, extra flights between Tallinn and St. Petersburg and normal flight between Tartu and Stockholm are about to happen. Estonian Air carried 7, 56, 795 passengers in 2008.
