SkyEurope lessen its fleet from 15 to 5 aircrafts

The low cost airline with its main base in Bratislava, Slovakia, SkyEurope acknowledged that it has lessened its fleet from 15 aircrafts to 5 aircrafts since late 2008. The fleet of SkyEurope has been cut by two thirds. The airline SkyEurope was forced to make six aircrafts to a leasing company on the basis of mutual agreement. The CEO of SkyEurope, Jason Bitter said that the airline continues all its operations so as to dispel doubts about the ability of the company. However SkyEurope has been operating for 6 years and yet the company listed in Vienna and Warsaw has never reached a profit. On the last Fiscal year ending 30th September 2008, SkyEurope posted a loss of 59.4 million.
