On the 14th July 2009 the European Commission approved the eleventh version of the airlines prohibited in the European Union which includes those of two supplementary countries. With the new blacklist updated five airlines has been permitted to fly again in the European Union. Garuda Indonesia, Airfast Indonesia, Mandala Airlines, Premiair, One Two Go and TAAG Angola Airlines are the five carriers that have been removed from the blacklist as their authority guarantees that they respect the international safety standards.
On the other hand the blacklist has 9 airlines which have been banned to operate in the European Union. Air Koryo from the Democratic People Republic of Korea (DPRK), Air West from Sudan, Ariana Afghan Airlines from Afghanistan, Siem reap Airways International from Cambodia, Silverback Cargo Freighters from Rwanda, Motor Sich, Ukraine Cargo Airways, Ukrainian Mediterranean Airlines and Volare from Ukraine are among the carriers prohibited to fly in the European Union.
“Black List of Companies in July 2009″ gives the chance to TAAG Angola Airlines, Air Astana from Kazakhstan, Gabon Airlines, Afrijet and SN2AG from Gabon, Air Bangladesh and Air Service Comores to operate under restrictions and conditions.
